It has been an exhausting, sometimes frustrating, but always rewarding few months since we started this process, but everything has finally come together in time for us to throw open the doors, just in time for Christmas.

Welcome to “The Little Workshop”
There are many advantages to running a successful, highly-rated online business, but there are some disadvantages too… Although we can chat to customers on the phone, via email, or on our Webchat – there’s no substitute for meeting people in person. It is the same with our jewellery – no amount of photographs and descriptions can replace seeing it in person; being able to hold it, touch it, and even try it on.
When I first started this business, as ‘FingerPrint Jewellery’ in 2006, I met every single one of my customers face-to-face, at local events and gatherings. The switch to ‘online’ was borne out of necessity – and although I have attended the occasional, annual event (and had a small part of the range available in selected John Lewis stores), I have mainly spent my days squirreled away in our Biggleswade Studio, alongside the rest of the Morgan & French team, making jewellery, working on new designs, and growing the business online.
It has been great fun – but I do miss meeting customers, so I have been quietly working on my top secret plan to open a proper, grown up, ‘bricks & mortar’ store, all of my very own… and here it is!
Why Stamford?
We live here, now, so it was the obvious choice! We are in love with Stamford and everything it offers. It has a real sense of independence and individuality about it, which is exactly why it is the perfect location for Morgan & French.
There’s a thriving ‘shop local’ culture (#ShopStamford), and a heap of other, really supportive local businesses – but, above all, Stamford is just such a fantastic town.
We have customers in all corners of the world that have wanted to visit us so now they can! And, they can take in beautiful Stamford and all it has to offer at the same time – so a win-win for everyone!
What’s in the shop?
You will be able to find examples and samples of pretty much everything we make – from our original ‘FingerPrint Jewellery’, ‘Ten Tiny Toes’ and ‘Little Picassos’, right the way through our collections of bracelets, Medical Alert jewellery, Memorial Jewellery, cufflinks, rings, Milestone jewellery, etc… The list goes on!
You’ll also be able to see all of our chains and leather colours / styles, and even have your ring sizing done so you know what size to order!
Last, but not least, we will also be offering a print-taking service in store! Back to our original roots, we will be on hand to take fingerprints and hand or footprints, ready to turn into fantastic jewellery for you. Appointments can be booked, really easily, online. Finally, I just wanted to say a big “Thank you” to all of our customers – it has been a really difficult couple of years for everyone, but we’ve loved hearing your stories, and really appreciate being trusted to make something really special for each and every one of you.
